More SHAC raids

Rhuben | 18.01.2008 11:06 | SHAC | Animal Liberation | Repression | South Coast

Three more arrests in SE england - Operation Achilles again!

Another 3 arrests - I suppose this is a reaction to the Bunny liberations.

re VPSG

Activists are only listed on the VPSG website if they are an actual prisoner (ie remanded or convicted and sent to prison, and of course vegan)

Says 3 in the Argus as well

18.01.2008 14:51

Yes - it says 3 here:
 http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/generalnews/display.var.1976362.0.three_held_in_animal_rights_extremist_raids.php

But no names - I suppose that means no charges yet.

Theres a load of pretty poor comment on there as well.

This hasn't been a good month for us.

All the best to the three nicked.

One day NETCU will learn that SHAC can not be silenced.

Tom & Niki (SARC) & Sarah Whitehead

18.01.2008 19:08

Taken from myspace bulletin (18th Jan, 06:59)

"Tom and Nikki from SARC and Sarah Whitehead were raided this morning and are currently still in custody at Gosport police station the raids were co-ordinated by NETCU under Operation "ACHILLES"+.

All campaign materials, clothes, personal items, cars, computer equipment have been taken in the raids to try and stop the lawful right to protest.

Please take them some vegan food if you can to Gosport police station and make a donation to SARC to help them get back on their feet when they are released.

Or rounding up the usual suspects....

"in the raids to try and stop the lawful right to protest."

I suspect they were trying to solve the bunny liberation - after all Sarah is currently on a suspended sentence for a liberation and due in court soon for another one!

Maybe just the usual

24.01.2008 20:49

I think it's just the usual activists being bailed for no real reason, if it was the recent bunny liberation, then I think it's more likely NETCU would have bragged about solving that so quickly....instead they just went for the "usual" suspects guilty of protesting to clamp down on.

Also Animal Rights Merchandise had just stocked up, so like last time, it was a pretty good time to strike to collect up another round of AR materials...I don't even think they got the last lot back yet?
