Israeli ambassador at Nottingham University

Gerry | 17.01.2008 14:31 | Palestine

The Israeli ambassador will be giving a lecture at Nottingham University on 29th January.

The following message was sent around the university today, and I thought it might be of interest to various malcontents and ne'er-do-wells on this board. The title of the lecture will be '2008: A chance for peace in the Middle East?', so I expect that some lowlives and subversives might wish to emphasise the need for Israel to, say, quit killing shedloads of Palestinians, annexing their land - sorry, building a 'security fence -, stealing their natural resources, and turning their homelands in bantustans.

"HE Ron Prosor, the new Ambassador of the State of Israel, will be visiting the University and giving a public lecture on Tuesday 29 January, in Lecture Room A48, Clive Grainger Building, University Park, commencing at 19:00. Admission is free and no tickets are required."

TICKETS REQUIRED!

Tickets are required for this event and the university seems to be controlling invitations. It seems that the Student's Union is allocating some tickets (possibly via societies). However, these students are being told to pick up their tickets with their student ID card.

The event is now in the Senate Chamber in the Trent Building. I haven't heard any rumours about him not coming.
