Germany: 80 000 march to remember the murder of Luxemburg and Liebknecht

Germany, Berlin. On Sunnday 80 000 people marched on the streets of Berlin to the cemetary of the socialists in Friedrichsfelde where Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht, the founders of the German Communist Party (KPD) are burried.

Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht fought their whole life long against capitalism, imperialism and militarism. They were murdered by Freikorps soldiers 89 years ago.

In 1919, Bertolt Brecht wrote the poetic memorial Epitaph honouring Rosa Luxemburg:

Red Rosa now has vanished too. (...)
She told the poor what life is about,
And so the rich have rubbed her out.
May she rest in peace.
