CLASS WAR ARE ASKING PEOPLE TO ‘BOO A BOBBY’ - GATHERING POINT MARSHAM STREET AT 12 NOON OPPOSITE THE HOME OFFICE.
Heres a piece lifted from the Class War website:
Plans are now well under way for hearty opposition to the police march through London next Wednesday.
The police march will run from Park Lane to Millbank. They are assembling at 10:30, moving off at 11:30, and expect to finish at 15:00. Given the problem with alcohol in many police forces, it is however likely that officers will be leaving the march for pubs from about 12:00. Keep checking back for suggestions on where to position yourself to best “Boo-A-Bobby”!
The public perception of the police is utterly different to that portrayed by the media, politicians and indeed the police themselves. Whilst we are constantly told the public “wants to see bobbies on the beat” most people’s experience of the police is one of an organisation that is arrogant, self-serving, expensive and, when it wants to be, above the law.
To have such an organisation demanding more pay - given the resources thrown at it over the past three decades - is cheeky beyond belief. Lets say so! The police have been in the front line of preventing other workers from obtaining pay increases, indeed they have often acted decisively to defeat workers in struggle. They may have forgotten Orgreave and Wapping, we have not.
Already the Evening Standard has weighed in with an exciteable piece about the 23rd. Always carefully briefed by Scotland Yard, the Standard no doubt hopes that by hyping up the ‘threat’ of violence now, the way will be clear for police officers to make preparatory arrests, and even attack those who do not wish to cheer the police through London. Such articles also serve as a crafty way of influencing public opinion at an early stage - a police attack on any counter demonstration is justified by media hype, based on press briefings from …….. the Police!
Should police officers be unable to act in a neutral manner on the day, and try to prevent any display of public opposition to their colleagues, please note that those opposed to the brass neck of the cops have a range of alternative options open to them. This might include blockading donut shops to prevent the greedy pigs snacking on their march, or pointing out to pub landlords known troublemakers about to enter their premises. Pagans can of course greet the march with a special Wicker Man, and we all know what burns best in one of those! And who could resist the opportunity to wave goodbye to departing coaches of pissed-up officers leaving London?
There is alas no honour amongst thieves. Can we really expect the Christian Police Association to march arm in arm with their colleagues from the Gay Police Association? Although rumours that the Met Police’s newly formed Muslim Officers Association will not march with the Jewish Police Association have been played down, will it all be peace and harmony on the day? Indeed if the Police Federation does not deliver on this one, how long until we see a “Real Police Federation” group emerging?

But worry not - if they ever actually go on strike, I'll personally hire a coach to bring a load of ex-miners down from Yorkshire to break up their picket lines!

Ive be truncheoned on head whilst peaceful & defended myself & fitted up twice.
But we also know sometimes the police-soldiers don't follow crap orders to the letter & turn their backs, thats why they had the SS & why Met was used to bolster police during miners stirke as many local coppers werent happy.
Police around the country still dont like the Met.
Wapping was about replacing people with computers for Murdochs personal gain, police are realising they might be next, in fact its already happening with samsung robot solders & pilotless fighter planes in Iraq, though they still need some people controlling them & crews to maintain.
Bosses are in a catch22 here as computers usually follow all orders, but can be hacked & if Skynet decides humans are unnecessary & to be boss & human are a all a problem that need erasing.
lets hope stop that happening & start cooperating as species
I dont like to criticise class war or Ian Bone as they have shown strength during poll tax & dole struggles, but but during revolutions soldiers often lead them & police join in too.

See you at Marsham Street...

Also fitwatch has an earlier meet up point (see other posting) for those who'd like to make a stand against the bullying and intimidating behaviour of the FIT. Or for anyone who wishes to help 'monitor' the demonstrators (purely in order to protect 'public safety' of course...).
So if you're up early and looking for something to do, head down to Tyburn Pub, Edgeware Rd, at about 9.30am. Otherwise, see you at Marsham Street....

Their inherent islamophobia is still seeping through in this post -
"the Met Police’s newly formed Muslim Officers Association will not march with the Jewish Police Association" - why suggest its Muslims who will not march with Jews - why couldn't it have been the other way round?
Class war my ass - more like Olmerts brownshirts!

inminds? Fighting Islamofascism in London
02.02.2008 23:24
This is an event originally called by the late Iranian dictator the Ayatollah Khomeini, and about 300 people marched beneath pictures of him, and bannersproclaiming support for the Palestinians. Quite what good it does the Palestinian cause to be supported by such loonspuds is another matter.
The Islamists on the march were joined by a small contingent from a Jewish sect who oppose the existance of Israel due to biblical doctrine (you couldn't make it up could you) and we also counted six rather sheepish looking Trotskyists, who presumably attended due to the promised attendance as a speaker of George Galloway. We are not quite sure that Gorgeous George would enjoy the sort of restrictions on personal morality supported by the Ayatollah's, but the contradictions are for him to justify.
On the counter demonstration Class War members particlularly enjoyed the speech by Iranian exile Mary Namazie, who stressed the attacks on trades unionists, woman and gays in Iran. To then see people walking straight past you who advocate such abuses was a stark reminder of why we were there. Down with Islamo-fascism!
More details about the counter demonstration can be

"Fighting Islamofascism" - Bush's description of war on terror

Where I disagree with the inminds version is that they think they were standing on the wrong side by mistake having fallen for neocon lies. After reading your two posts I can see you are islamophobic and the label 'olmerts brownshirts' is an accurate description of class war. You belong under those israeli flags you were waving at the demo. You mentioned Mary Namazie - she is same woman who was happy to stand shoulder to shoulder with the BNP just because they were attacking muslims at the time - I guess next time we'll see you waving BNP flags.
