v.glad to report too that parly square picnickers were fully reunited yesterday. hey maybe we will live to see the day where there is a nationwide picnic-assembly blockade as, and for a new constitution after all!
the attached pictures show the delightful protest manager, name and address withheld who came & added joy to the grand day out, with love in sunny london, and of course the great warrior brian's wound. so, perhaps as with mars and venus love and war, when united will make harmony. big up to all the organisers and participants!!
anyone for tea at buckingham palace sometime in the not too distant?
& those who are up for it please don't forget the consultation response deadline of 17/1 to respond email
(a) Call for sections 132 - 138 of SOCPA to be repealed
(b) Call for no increase in police powers to control marches and assemblies around Parliament or elsewhere (and so, in particular, no "harmonisation upwards" - see below for more on this).
(c) Call for no new "special provisions" for static demonstrations and marches around Parliament (again, see below).
Please take this important opportunity to show the strength of opposition to SOCPA, but also that restrictions on our democratic right to freely protest and assembly around Parliament, or anywhere else in the UK, are completely unacceptable. Please please respond to this consultation, and ask all of your friends to do the same. Responses should be emailed to protestaroundParliament@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk or can be sent by hand/ post (but not carrier pigeon as they've been privatised)
