The Wall Street Journal is reporting the US Food and Drug Administration is preparing to declare that meat and milk from cloned animals and their offspring are safe to eat.

Joseph Mendelson of the Center for Food Safety warned about the dangers of cloned livestock. Mendelson said:

“Once the FDA says these products are safe and that they are out there, it’s very hard to turn it back.”

Strange story -- provide references

This is such a strange report that you really need to provide references.

Why strange? Well why would the FDA bother approving milk, etc. from non-existent animals? Were you under the impression that mammals are being successfully cloned?
