Install UnPlug to download it as a 159M AVI:

Tech Notes

To download the video files from YouTube using something like UnPlug:  https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2254 get the URL's and use wget to write them with sensible filenames, eg:

wget "youtube.com/get_video?video_id=kpAQQ3peRys&t=RStringThatExpiresBlah" -O nafeez-1.flv

To generate a single AVI:

mencoder -oac copy -ovc copy -idx -o nafeez.avi nafeez-1.flv nafeez-2.flv nafeez-3.flv nafeez-4.flv nafeez-5.flv nafeez-6.flv nafeez-7.flv nafeez-8.flv nafeez-9.flv

To generate a MP3 from the AVI:

ffmpeg -i nafeez.avi -ab 128 -ar 44100 nafeez.mp3

The only problem with the above is that the AVI file has the audio out of sync from the video. Of course all the above is based on you having ffmpeg and mencoder installed -- which is easy on Linux...

Some minor points

07.01.2008 22:57

James Hansen thinks 350ppm is the safe limit:  http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/12/27/AR2007122701942.html

Yet we are already at 385ppm:  http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/gmd/ccgg/trends/

Regarding food production, for the UK at least, there is some interesting stuff here:

Can Britain Feed Itself?  http://transitionculture.org/2007/12/20/can-britain-feed-itself/

On the history of US imperial genocide see this series of talks:

Empire as a Way of Life, Part 9  http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2007/06/374166.html

Part 10 is missing, the rest are there and are very good.
