A new grass roots project will be launched January 2008 at Ringsfield eco study centre nr Beccles, Suffolk.
The project involves local community skill sharing plus experts from across the country coming together to run workshops for environmental and social change. (this is a non profit making project. )All sessions will be run as cheaply as possible and be open to all.
Sust-education have been lucky enough to be able to use the beautiful Ringsfield Hall eco study Centre as a venue, 14 acres of amazing parkland........

Climate change. How will it affect us.
What’s happening locally?
January 15th 10-2pm
This workshop will be an introduction to climate change, with
chance for general discussion about what is happening in the
local area. Donation only.
Environmental Kids Education Day.
What’s happening Locally?
January 22nd 10-2pm
This workshop will be a chance to find out what is happening
locally for kids specifically to do with the environment.
Donation only.
Bicycle Maintenance
January 29th 11-2pm
This is a chance to bring a long your bike and learn to fix any
problems it might have. Don’t worry if you cant bring your own
bike because there will still be plenty of opportunity for learning.

How to build a Wind Turbine and
12v electrics 5 Day workshop
February 4th-8th
This is a five day course to get direct and
significant experience of building a wind
turbine based on the Hugh Piggot design. The
workshop is run by V3 Power This course is also designed to be
residential staying in the Hall for an additional cost, which
includes 3 meals a day. Cost of Workshop between £180 -£280 .
Non-Hierarchical Decision Making.
What it is and how to do it.
February 12th 10am -2pm
This is an opportunity to learn about an alternative way to make
decisions in a group. Donation only.
Solar Panels and 12v Electrics
February 13th-14th
This course is designed to give practical knowledge and experience
in 12v electrics and solar panels. The first day will be a general
introduction, leading to the second day which will be looking
at 12v electrics in more depth. There is also opportunity to stay in
the hall for an additional cost which will include 3 meals a day.
Cost of workshop: £50-£80 depending on income.
Build your own Compost Toilet (tbc)
March 10-14th
This course will give you knowledge about how a compost toilet
works and you will get direct and significant hands on inexperience
in building a compost toilet. This course is also designed to
be residential , staying in the hall for an additional cost which will
include 3 meals a day.
Introduction to Permaculture
April 3rd-4th
This is an exciting opportunity to experience practical skills and
design. The course is going to be run by Tomas Remiarz. There is
also opportunity to stay in the hall for an additional cost, which
will include 3 meals a day. Cost of workshop £25.00 - £40.00 depending
on income.
Green wood working Day
April 4th TBC
Build your own Grey Water system
14th-16th April
This workshop is designed to give you knowledge of what a
grey water system is and how it works. You will also get experience
of building a working system. The course will cost and is
run by Richard Jackson. This course is also designed to be
residential, staying in the hall for an additional cost, will include
3 meals a day. Cost TBC.
