would've been a nicer graphic statement (design-wise) if the heads of the 'astronauts' were replaced by furry animal faces....

Why Carling?

Any particular reason why a Carling poster was chosen? Was this for purely artistic reasons, or is Carling subject to a boycott?

Carling because

...it contains meat products as do various other lagers and ciders such as strongbow.

seems to me the silhouettes in the original image are already ideal because they look like they could be ALF people - hence the text change fits the image.

REASON

this looks like it has been done mainly for artistic reasons but Carling dose contain animal products, i suppose killing two birds with one stone (bad pun i know!!) strongbow is fine unfortunatly strongbow Sirrus is not and neither is Magners.

Lovely...

A lovely bit of subvertising, thanks for that.
And to the usual critics - look, it takes time and guts to do this stuff and billboards are up for very short periods and finding one accessible and suitable and not overlooked by CCTV isn't always easy, so stop yer whinging comments. If activists don't use exactly the right shaped letters and colour (and oh - I believe there may have been non-ethically produced glue used to put up the original poster, so it should be boycotted), they get criticised!
