The sentence of the process against 25 protesters regarding the riots during the demonstrations against the g8 in Genoa, has decided which is the price that must be paid in order to express your own ideas and to make a stand against the state of present things: 110 years of jail. The court of the president Devoto and the judges to latere Gatti and Realini, has not had the courage of contrasting to the ferocious reconstruction of the collective history made by public prosecutors Andrea Canciani and Anna Canepa, who demanded to the judges to endorse the power attached to their roles.
Indeed, it has made it worse. He has chosen of pass judgement that there
is a good way in order to express your dissent and a bad way, that there are
some ways of compatible protest and some others that have to be punished equally to a war crime. In order to complete the work he also supplied a consolation, at the end

The court of Genoa has chosen to favour all those political forces, all those right-minded people, all those lawyers, than - consciously - have hoped that little, even less then the 25 defendants, were condemned so to be
able to make a relief sigh, to be able to know where to point their dirty and moral dripping finger. The use of the crime of “devastation and pillage” in order to condemn what happened during a political manifestation opens the road to a dangerous operation, where the individuals are supine to the choices of who governs, defenceless in front of the daily iniquities of a system in full democratic emergency , more than economic. Nobody of those who was at Genoa in 2001 and that it has constructed careers on the words and aims of Genoa, but then betraying them with every vows and necessary means, is willing to line up against this absurd and instrumental operation: nobody, or nearly, in the left centred coalition of the government has been able to say that at Genoa, among those that today have been condemned to years in jail , there it would have to be all the participants to those days.

The same thing has been also performed by many of the social movements, and by many of the persons who have tried to subvert the contents of the manifestation that only three weeks ago, on the 17 of November, has filled up the roads of Genoa: they wanted to mislead the public opinion regarding who were those people who were fighting for a different way of living and society, and who defended the way of living that we live every day on our skin; they wanted to muddle, perhaps because their dignity is also confused. And therefore, dozens of dispatches on the possible
Parliamentarian Commissions, on "Truth" and "Justice", and too many little words on 25 persons who were about to be set off as scapegoats by a power that has had fear.
Nevertheless, Genoa can not be cancelled with the misleading operations operated by the attorney, neither by the dodgy choices nor by the skeletons hidden in the closets. The 80,000 persons who have paraded for the ways of Genoa on the 17 November , did not ask for a Parliamentarian Commission , they did ask that 25 persons did not become the windscreen behind which burying an uncomfortable historical passage, that questioned the present society and its way of life. We are convinced that those 80,000 persons are listening to us and will not allow to a courtroom to dispossess their own memory and having the life of 24 persons destroyed. To greater reason today, with a sentence that tries to crush us and makes us feel ashamed of what we have been and what we have lived, to paint those moments of revolt to gloomy inks rather than with the light and the dignity that would deserve the more genuine moments that express the popular will, we say that we will not repudiate anything, than we will not be sorry for anything, because there is nothing we repent of or which we feel of having to express differently than that of the higher moment of our political life.

We think that all those who were in Genoa should have to scream: in any case no remorse. No remorse for the roads occupied from the revolt, no remorse for the powerful people that hidden inside the red zone, no remorse for the barricades, the cracked display windows, the protections of foam rubber, the plastic shields, the black dressed ones, the white hands, for the dances of the Pink, no remorse for the determination with which we have questioned power for some days. We said it the day after Genoa, and we have been saying it throughout these years: Memory is a collective gear that cannot be sabotaged. And for everything that Genoa has represented and meant to us, we will have no remorse. Today, as yesterday and tomorrow, we are going to repeat that “We are the History “. Today, as yesterday and tomorrow, we are declaring again: in any case no remorse.

La sentenza del processo contro 25 manifestanti per gli scontri avvenuti durante le proteste contro il g8 a Genova, ha deciso qual è il prezzo che si deve pagare per esprimere le proprie idee e per opporsi allo stato di cose presenti: 110 anni di carcere. Il tribunale del presidente Devoto e dei giudici a latere Gatti e Realini, non ha avuto il coraggio di opporsi alla feroce ricostruzione della storia collettiva ad uso del potere che i pm Andrea Canciani e Anna Canepa gli ha richiesto di avvallare.
Anzi, ha fatto di peggio. Ha scelto di sentenziare che c'è un modo buono per esprimere il proprio dissenso e un modo cattivo, che ci sono forme compatibili di protesta e forme che vanno punite alla stregua di un reato di guerra.
Per completare l'opera ha anche fornito una consolazione a fine processo per i difensori e gli "onesti cittadini", chiedendo la trasmissione degli atti per le false testimonianze di due carabinieri e due poliziotti, un contentino con cui non si allevia il peso della sentenza e il cui senso di carità a noi non interessa.

Il tribunale di Genova ha scelto di assecondare tutte quelle forze politiche, tutti quei benpensanti, tutti quegli avvocati, che - coscientemente - speravano che pochi, ancora meno dei 25 imputati, fossero condannati per poter tirare un sospiro di sollievo, per poter sapere dove puntare il proprio dito grondante morale e coscienza sporca. L'uso del reato di devastazione e saccheggio per condannare fatti avvenuti durante una manifestazione politica apre la strada a un'operazione pericolosa, che vorrebbe vedere le persone supine alle scelte di chi governa, inermi di fronte ai soprusi quotidiani di un sistema in piena emergenza democratica, prima ancora che economica. Nessuno di coloro che era a Genova nel 2001 e che ha costruito carriere sulle parole d'ordine di Genova, salvo poi tradirle con ogni voto e mezzo necessario, ha voluto schierarsi contro questa operazione assurda e strumentale: nessuno, o quasi, in tutto l'arco del centro sinistra al governo ha saputo dire che a Genova, tra coloro i quali oggi sono stati condannati ad anni di galera, avrebbe dovuto esserci tutti quanti hanno partecipato a quelle giornate.

La stessa cosa è stata portata avanti anche da molti dei movimenti, e molte delle persone che hanno cercato di sabotare i contenuti della manifestazione che solo tre settimane fa, il 17 novembre, ha riempito le strade di Genova: hanno voluto annebbiare le persone su chi fossero coloro che si battevano per un modello di vita e di società diverso, e chi difendeva il modello che viviamo sulla nostra pelle tutti i giorni; hanno voluto confondere le acque, forse perché anche la loro dignità è confusa. E allora decine di comunicati sulle possibili Commissioni Parlamentari, sulla Verità e sulla Giustizia, e troppe poche parole su 25 persone che stavano avviandosi a diventare capri espiatori di un potere che ha avuto paura.
Genova però non si cancella con il revisionismo a mezzo procura, né con le pelose scelte di comodo e gli scheletri nascosti negli armadi. Le 80.000 persone che lo scorso 17 novembre hanno sfilato per le vie di Genova, non chiedevano una Commissione Parlamentare, bensì che 25 persone non diventassero il paravento dietro cui seppellire un passaggio storico scomodo, che ha messo in discussione l'attuale sistema di vita e di società. Siamo convinti che quelle 80.000 persone ci ascoltano e non permetteranno a un'aula di tribunale di espropriare la propria memoria e devastare le vite di 24 persone.
A maggior ragione oggi, con una sentenza che cerca di schiacciarci e farci vergognare di quello che siamo stati e quello che abbiamo vissuto, di dipingere quei momenti di rivolta a tinte fosche anziché con la luce e la dignità che meriterebbero i momenti più genuini che esprimono la volontà popolare, noi diciamo che non ripudieremo nulla, che non chiederemo scusa di nulla, perché non c'è nulla di cui ci pentiamo o di cui sentiamo di dover parlare in termini diversi che del momento più alto della nostra vita politica.

Noi pensiamo che tutti coloro che erano a Genova dovrebbero gridare: in ogni caso nessun rimorso. Nessun rimorso per le strade occupate dalla rivolta, nessun rimorso per il terrore dei grandi asserragliati nella zona rossa, nessun rimorso per le barricate, per le vetrine spaccate, per le protezioni di gommapiuma, per gli scudi di plexiglas, per i vestiti neri, per le mani bianche, per le danze pink, nessun rimorso per la determinazione con cui abbiamo messo in discussione il potere per alcuni giorni.
Lo abbiamo detto il giorno dopo Genova, e in tutti questi anni: la memoria è un ingranaggio collettivo che non può essere sabotato. E per tutto quello che Genova è stata e ha significato noi non proveremo nessun rimorso. Oggi, come ieri e domani, ripeteremo ancora che la Storia siamo Noi. Oggi, come ieri e domani, diremo di nuovo: in ogni caso nessun rimorso.
