Another one leaves the sinking ship! Till now they were a important financial partner of this stock exchange who deals in HLS shares. Van der Moolen was an important trader!
The Dutch/Belgian actiongroup Anti Dierproeven Coalitie (Coalition Against Animal Testing), started to do demos against their European HQ last february. The also had a disruptive demo at Van der Moolen's annual shareholders meeting. The highlight was last august when 400 angry demonstraters were outside Van der Moolen during the large Animal Rights Gathering Demo.

We confronted Van der Moolen, and now they quit. Who's next?

Here is the link with footage of the big demo:

Goldman Sachs dumps shares

11.12.2007 16:37

Goldman Sachs, who owned over 7 million shares in NYSE Euronext, making them one of the top 5 shareholders of the exchange, have dumped (at least) over 6 million of their shares.

The updated NYSE shareholders list, which includes all companies with over 1 million shares, now does not include the company.

Win Animal Rights (WAR) demonstrated regularly at the homes of their company executives in New York, as well as SHAC demonstrating at their offices in London.

This probably explains why they have dropped a lot of their shares...
