A charitable trust is offering grants for UK students to volunteer on conservation or global action projects. Visit www.darrengrover.co.uk for details or to apply.

A charitable trust set up a couple of years ago has been giving small amounts of money to students (and others) to help them cover the costs of volunteering abroad. Over the years, the trust has given out grants ranging from £50-£400 to almost 100 people, who have volunteered on a range of projects accross the globe.

For the 2007-2008 period, the trust plans to concentrate its grant-giving on students looking to work with organisations involved with conservation / environment-related fields, particularly where there is a scientific element with the potential for publishable data.

If you are interested, grants range for the 2007/2008 period are from £50-250 and can be made by any UK student who is looking to volunteer WITHIN THE EU ONLY.

To apply, please evisit www.darrengrover.co.uk or www.esperanzanet.org.uk

Many thanks and good luck!
