The BNP likes the Danish cartoons - do you want to stand with them?

I don't really have much of an opinion on the cartoons themselves. But I'm quite adamant that people should be able to print them, the last thing I want is for a load of religious superstition to be enshrined in law.

I am not comfortable with the suggestion that because the BNP supports these cartoons we should not. The BNP also supports the withdrawl of all British troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, should we oppose that as well ?

Religion in all its forms needs to be challenged at the very least and ridiculed when needed. Islam, like Christianity, Judaism and the rest is a system of control where an elite dictate to the majority how they should behave, think and interact with others. I doubt there are many readers of Indymedia who think this is a good idea.

The work of the Al Salaam organisation in Bow, London which helps those Muslims who wish to leave the faith, in particular young women who wish to marry non Muslims and the Centre for Personal Alternatives in New York who assist those from the US Bible Belt looking to escape the control of the fundamental Christianity are the types of groups deserving our support.

I look forward to a world where so called faiths are treated in the same way we view Harry Potter, amusing entertainment for children but not something to influence an adult.

the mythologies of monotheist religions are the same as those within our so called secular enlightenment

1. we are the true path (they are fools and infants)

2. follow no other doctrines but our own ( everyone that says otherwise is lying)

so its not so simple after all
