Meltem’s birthday is tomorrow Wednesday 21 November 2007. The situation in turkey is even more dangerous for Meltem and her mother because they are Kurdish.

A 14-year-old pupil from Hall Cross Lower is right now being denied her education and the opportunity to sit her all-important GCSEs and has instead been incarcerated with her mother for the past 3 months at Yarlswood Detention Centre. Tomorrow Wednesday 21 November is Meltem’s 14th birthday.

What is the NUT’s stance? What is Hall Cross Lower’s stance? Ask them tomorrow at this Vigil for Meltem Avcil on her 14th birthday. Bring banners, candles.
