Fine, i'll accept a difference of opinion in whether he is any good - but how is he the cartoonist for IMC UK?

He lives on the other side of the world, and furthermore the stucture of IMC means anyone can contribute - you post your own news. Therefore he is no more a part of IMC as any one of us posting.

If he is submitting his own work, fine, but i assume someone else is - why? It is not news, and it is not newsworthy.

the problem with lutuff is that his pictures over simplify very complex and hard to answer questions, they make everything black and white in the wars in the middle east as well as the occupation when quite clearly not all Palestinians are good and not all Israelis are bad, im sure thats not what he means or believes but his pictures portray this clear cut message with no room for movement, much like the dogma shoved down our throats from the stwc and the swp, surley as anarchists we know that not just one rule or idea is the way forward and it is our regection of sweeping statements which gives us the edge. lutuffs pictures are relevant and quite good, but they are just broad generalisations which i dont believe help the situation in anyway and offer no alternatives or solutions.

anarchist communist don't click on the newswire link if you don't want to see Latuff.

Personally, I like his stuff and have saved a number of his art pieces which are apt, succinct and decisive. It is true that I'd like to see more cartoons posted because artwork can iconically capture the zeitgeist without getting too lost in the quagmire of language that the message itself is obscured.

I'd say, keep 'em coming ... although I'd like to see a fuller range.

I think his cartoons are shit. They are simplistic, uninteligent and uniluminating. A decent cartoon makes you think or crystalises a certain situation into one frame.

One of the best Latuff's cartoons. Sure "they" needed the pretext to steal as much crude oil as possible. The Middle East "Indians" were merely "goyim", same as Kazakhs and Uzbecks during murderous Lenin-Trotsky campains in the Middle Asia after the October 1917 putch in Russia.
