Over The Top Men

James Jones | 11.11.2007 22:25

So said by a 16 year old upper class twit in 1916 to his men from liverpool.

With the courage of ignorence the 16 year old capatain had led a few over the top attacks.Like a schoolboy in some game he thought the lives of the men he led were something fron a comic strip.Having gotten in by lieing about his age, more likely a dad like Kipling. This child was made an officer.Such was the times then. But in 1916 enough was enough.Too many foolish things by said boy led a few scousers to put a stop to this fools way.As he turned to shout over the top he was shot point bang between the eyes. And so were saved the lives of many.RIP.
