There will be a meeting of the Manchester GMB(General members Branch) of the IWW on Thursday 15th Nov, The Catholic Chaplaincy in the library room from 7.30. This is opposite the Manchester University Student Union building in Oxford Road.
All are welcome. You can join on the night.
The IWW is a fast growing network of militants across the country. We have active campaigns around the National Blood Service and Starbucks. Our largest networks are in the health service and education. We were active in the successful campaign to save Crichton Campus, our involvement in which reinvigorated the campaign and led to its success. We have active job branches in Glasgow, Leicester and Birmingham.
Our ethos is working together, operating on a basis of self-help and mutual solidarity.

As these unions have a very close relationship with NuLab through their political funds. Their ordinary mebers are often fed up witht the leadership but feel powerless to change them. UNISON is even persecuting its own activists that don't toe the line with help from managment. UNISON leaders also tried to block the march in London about the NHS. They are scabs and deserve to be treated as such.
There is a good chance to organise with people working in health, local government, teaching, and the posties so that they can have proper fighting unions. People are fed up to the back teeth with wage deflation and cost of living inflation.
