November 10th. Anti Separation Wall Action in Cornmarket

Pam Parsons | 04.11.2007 12:04 | Anti-racism | Palestine | Repression | Oxford

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 10TH 12-2PM. ACTION AGAINST ISRAEL'S ILLEGAL SEPARATION WALL IN PALESTINE. CORNMARKET (St Michael's tower end), CENTRAL OXFORD

Please join Oxford Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Oxford Women in Black and others for a vigil to mark the International Day of Action against the separation wall in Palestine

It is now over 3 years since the International Court of Justice declared Israel's separation wall, built on Palestinian land to be illegal. Yet still the International Community does nothing about it. The wall continues to be built and to grow at an alarming rate, stealing Palestinian land and devastating Palestinian lives and livelihoods. (It is now twice the length of the actual "green line", the internationally recognised "border" between Israel and the West Bank)
Please stand with us to let people know that this MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE.
Thanks. See you on Saturday.

The Fifth International Week of Action against the Apartheid Wall takes place between 9 and 16 November 2007. The Palestinian Grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign and its popular committees have called on the world to protest against the illegal occupation of Palestine. Join the movement to boycott Israeli Apartheid. In 2004 the International Court of Justice ruled that the Apartheid Wall is illegal. Despite this, the British government has continued to support Israel economically, politically and militarily.
