Bicycle-Powered Bonanza Nov 10 - pedal-powered bands, DJs + cinema
Liz McDowell | 02.11.2007 14:56 | London
It's time to straddle that saddle and join in on the bike-powered madness! Come join a night of music, film & revelry
On Saturday November 10, come shake your groove thing to the soulful, funky musical stylings of The Jelly Royale & Sam Vouga, and be amazed by the Magnificent Revolutionary Cycling Cinema. Then, use your legs to keep the party going into the wee hours by pumping power through to the DJs' turntables.
Any money we make will help Liz travel to the UN Climate Change negotiations in Bali, where she's been invited to be part of the Canadian Youth Delegation. This means you can have an extra drink or two at the bar with a clean conscience, since it's all for a good cause!
Come at 8:00pm to see some films on Britain's first-ever cycle-powered cinema. Music kicks off at 9:00pm. Cover is £5 at the door (or more if you want to donate more!).
To get the address (near Brick Lane) or if you want more info, call Liz at 0798 378 9542.

By the way is she cycling to Bali or flying?
Is she an expert on climate change?

For instance:
Lifecycles (kicked off the idea but now defunct?)
Steward Community Woodland

Bicycology

And sorry to be a killjoy but pedalling and partying so that someone can fly 3000 miles seems to defeat the purpose.
