Report of Halloween demo at EDO

On Halloween night forty people took part in a vibrant, noisy and angry demonstration outside EDO MBM. EDO sell weapons components to the UK and US armed forces for the war in Iraq and to the Israeli military.
Arround fifty police attempted to intimidate demonstrators by fanning out across the road opposite the factory. Two senior officers were present including Inspector Parr, kitted out with clipboard and megaphone. The police seemed to have been considering dispersing demonstrators but were deterred by the size and defiance of the demonstration.
Paul Hills, Managing Director of EDO MBM, stood outside the factory watching throughout.
Sarah Johnson, press spokesperson for Smash EDO, said 'The weapons components
they make at EDO in Brighton create a real life horror story for millions
of people when families are torn apart. Our demonstration proved again to the arms dealers that their murderous trade is not welcome here or anywhere else.

Ooh Err Guv!
I bet those miserable curtain twitching bastards in green flouro coats (the police) had a great night "controlling" the age old tradition of halloween on UK streets using the above "designated powers" and probably made many hundreds of illegal arrests no doubt.

To avoid "trouble" (coming into contact with All Hallows Eve festivities/celebration) next year download the official anti-hallowen poster at

Stay indoors!
Be a good citizen!
