The Big Opt Out

Nursey | 23.10.2007 13:55

Why do they want you to conform to the system and make you have all your health reocrds available to Uncle Tom Cobley and all?

Try getting into anything to do with "The Big Opt Out" in order to have your records kept confidential. You will get a page saying that "This page cannot be displayed".

Looks like the spooks at GCHQ have been at all these sites and deleted them.

Why are they so desperate for us to have our very personal information on this database? We should be able to "Opt out" so why not let us?

The signs are very ominous indeed.

The Big Opt Out

24.10.2007 10:18

"The Big Opt Out" was a campaign supported by NO2ID and FIPR. It had the websites:

www.nhsconfidentiality.org
and
thebigoptopt.org

(Neither of these sites is currently live)

One of the people behind the campaign is Helen Wilkinson, who was falsely labelled as an alcoholic on an NHS computer system. The story of this is here:

 http://society.guardian.co.uk/e-public/story/0,,1937302,00.html

Helen Wilkinson is now a Conservative (!) councillor for High Wycombe:
