Respect for Basford 'Recycling' Street Art
The Oxygen Thievez have done a splendid wall mural near Vernon Road, Basford, as part of the Respect for Basford week.
Hands up: who knew that it was 'Respect for Basford week'? It started on 24th September ...... apparently.
The theme [and why it is relevant to show here] is recycling. I feel this is a really good way to engage with the public, to give them a clue why they should recycle more and remind them to do so. Public art on this scale is hard to miss, and I think thousands will see this and ponder, as they pass in cars during the rush hours. All a bit more effective that the average council leaflet.
Well done chaps.
