Boycott Total for Burma

Gulliver | 28.09.2007 16:02 | Repression | Social Struggles

Total has become the main supporter of the Burmese military regime according to Aung San Suu Kyi

TOTAL Oil is the fourth largest oil company in the world and one of the biggest foreign investors in Burma. Its joint venture with Burma’s dictatorship earns the military regime hundreds of millions of dollars every year.

Widespread systematic human rights abuses have been associated with the TOTAL pipeline, including forced labour, torture and rape. In addition, tougher European Union sanctions against Burma have been blocked by the French government in its effort to protect TOTAL’s interests in the country.

Just so you know where to avoid the local Total filling stations are: -

Johnny, maybe your Subday would be better spent learning English. The Colwick depot ' ran by Total 'may be a bit out of your league and best left alone.

SABATAGUE, D/Sell.
The garages do not belong to Total. They sell Total petrol only and are owned by hard working individuals trying to make a living. This probably dosent bother you so much, but it will if its my garage and I am there......

This probably
