Report from outside Croydon police station: about 50 people went to the station after witnessing the earlier arrest of an asylum seeker outside Lunar House. They had been told to go there to make a complaint, but when they arrived they were not let in, on the grounds that it was a demonstration. After a 15 minute futile negotiation with police they decided to leave but they were not allowed out, but were made to stand on the grass outside. Two people were arrested for trying to get into the police station to give witness statements and make a complaint.
