LISA COMRIE - Director, Producer, Co-writer

Since she was very young, Lisa Comrie has loved ghost stories and mystery books. When she was 25, the Northwestern University graduate discovered a cool ghost story mystery written by her uncle and she instantly knew she wanted to make it into a movie. 'It was an eerie story, full of mystery and suspense with an especially compelling lead character,' says Comrie. She co-wrote the screenplay with her uncle, produced and directed 'Sarah Landon and the Paranormal Hour' and is thrilled to see her directorial debut released nationwide for Halloween.

Introducing RISSA WALTERS as 'Sarah Landon'

When director Lisa Comrie set out to cast the role of Sarah Landon, she knew it had to be someone special and untouched by previous film stardom. Audiences had to meet Sarah without any confusion from other film roles or big name actors. The actor had to be intelligent, strong, adorable, and most of all, believable as the 17-year-old, curiosity-bound lead character. After auditioning hundreds of actresses in Hollywood and across the U.S. to no avail, Comrie came across a short film with Rissa Walters, a friend she had known for years. She suddenly realized that Sarah Landon was right there in front of her all along.

Walters loved playing Sarah and has already signed on for the film's two sequels. 'I've become much more open to the existence of paranormal activity after doing this film' said Walters. 'We filmed at a house that was rumored to be haunted. After hearing story after spooky story, you definitely start believing.'
