Palestine Solidarity campaigners gathered outside Wembley stadium in London today (Sat 08/09/2007) where the Israeli national football team where playing England in a Euro 2008 qualifier.
300 demonstrators voiced their anger at a State, that they believe actively promotes apartheid and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, being allowed to play here. Meanwhile, it is alleged, the Palestinian national team is forced to stay at home due to Israel’s refusal to let them play abroad.
The protest was called by the Boycott Israeli Goods Campaign in conjunction with Jews for Boycotting Israeli Goods (J-BIG). The Boycott Israeli Goods campaign is responding to calls from Palestinian and Israeli campaigners for a boycott of apartheid Israel.
The demonstration was peaceful. One person was arrested for obstruction.

surely britain is a racist state with a despicable record of racist deportations and interventions in the developing world that were never asked for. but oh wait, that would be too uncomfortable would it not? so instead you protest against a little country that is 100s of miles away without even addressing the problems here.
"against all nations" also means being against a palestinian nation!
for a truly progressive stance on the middle east (and against ALL international football of national teams)!

To hear words like "F off you black,Paki, muslim, terrorist B,F off back to your own country and get a job"with pure hatred in peoples eyes and the police not making any arrests astounded me.
To answer the points aimed at me:
1.I'm white.
2.I'm Scottish(dangerous at the best of times at Wembley when England are playing)
3.I have no real religous faith
4.I'm not a terrorist and never have been.
5.Britain is my Country.(Although I'm not proud of being British)
6.I run a succesful business.
To see the 3 things I hate most 1.Bullies,2.Bigots and 3.Racists turned my stomach....and I will be proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with anyone to show my disproval towards anyone or any Country displaying these actions(such as Isreal.)

i agree with yonatan....these people know nothing. Palestine is fighting for survival against the zionist extermists who want to obliterate palestine and kill muslims.....and they get support from extreme right in th UK...how sad.

Israel 'infinitely worse than apartheid'

Sporting sanctions helped free South Africa from oppression and the demonstrators should be congratulated.
