Karen Reissmann, a psychiatric nurse and union shop steward, was suspended in June accused of bringing the trust into disrepute
Mental health workers in Manchester are to stage a second three-day strike in protest over the ongoing suspension of a union official.
Some 700 workers, mainly nurses, will walk out on Monday until Wednesday.

Unison representatives say that Ms Reissmann was targeted by NHS bosses for speaking out against service cuts.
The NHS trust says the suspension is a private employment matter.
'Defend rights'
The strike will affect all in-patient, hospital and community psychiatric services across the city of Manchester.
Each day there will be picket lines at North Manchester General hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary, and Wythenshawe hospital.
A first three-day strike took place last week.
It led to some psychiatric patients being moved to centres up to 100 miles away, while others have been sent home.
Union officials are also staging a demonstration on Sunday, 9 September in the Peace Gardens in Princess Street, Manchester to "defend the right to speak out against cuts and privatisation of public services without fear of being sacked."
