The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the world’s major sources of instability. Americans are directly connected to this conflict, and increasingly imperiled by its devastation.

It is the goal of If Americans Knew to provide full and accurate information on this critical issue, and in our power – and duty – to bring a resolution.

Below are charts of nine little-known statistics.

Actually the Palestinians have managed to demolish a couple Israeli homes. Not all Qassams land in empty fields.

So it might have been cheaper for the US if in 1947, they had given every Palestinian double the value of their property in what is now Israel, if they emigrated to the USA.

Ilyan, your comment was highly relevant and sensitive as usual! Perhaps, as we are constantly told that "an area the size of Wales has been deforested in Amazonia this year", the cheapest and most economically, politically and socially satisfying solution would be to offer all the indigenous people of Amazonia the right to emigrate to Wales and live there at dole levels of income. After all, their wages in the rainforest are often zero dollars per year, way below global averages. and this would also help towards achieving world development targets! Simple, isn't it?
