Newswire contributors begin to stand up to racist posts

The following link is to an article published by the infamous Chris Hedges on the 21st of August. Like many of those on the UK newswire it contains a standard anti Jewish hate piece typical of the type we have come to expect from the UK site.
A straight cut and paste from a blog (breaking the Editorial Guidelines by the way, but hey its anti Jewish so we've overlook that as usual)

However what is interesting is seeing how a number of contributors have started to stand up to this regular diet of anti Semitism and point out the errors, bias and blatant racism. Of course their comments are quickly hidden or removed but that's not the point. At last it seems some of the regular readers of Indymedia UK are no longer prepared to see their newswire polluted by the regular stench of anti Semitism.
Perhaps they will grow tired of having to correct the lies every day, to point out the racism, to show up the anti-Semites for what scum they are. Maybe the instant cry of "Troll" and "Neocon" or the old favourite for those who have lost the argument "Paid Mossad agent" will in the end cause them to give up like I did but it's good to know there are still some fightng to save our newswire from the Jew haters who have ruined with their messages of hate and intolerance.
I was pleased this week at the Camp for Climate Change to hear others talking about this issue during some of the evening chats, a women I sat next to described it perfectly when she said how tied she had become with Indymedia compared to the hopes she had for it at the start,
" we so needed our own source of news, independent of the BBC and ITV and Fleet Street but now all they talk about is Israel and Jews."
I hope the backlash has started and that others will join the fight to recover the newswire we all supported.
