Films Without Borders presents a day of information, films and music in support of the Gatwick No Border Camp

4pm Film - Barbed Wire Beat - inspiring film about the ongoing resistance to Campsfield Immigration Detention Centre (free)
5pm Discussion - Gatwick No Border Camp - what, why, where and how? Find out about the camp and how to take part (free)
7pm No Border Camp Benefit Gig - with Gut Care (Ebullition-style hardcore), Uni Wrong (punk with a dash of ska) & Helictite (avant industrial noise collective), £4
The first No Border Camp in the UK takes place at Gatwick from 19-24 September 07. The camp will be a chance to work together to stop the building of a new detention centre (prison), and to gather ideas for how to build up the fight against the system of migration controls.

Free entry for asylum seekers

yes, asylum seekers certainly can get in free, at this event and all film screenings at the Star & Shadow. Also, the Star and Shadow operates a 'no-one turned away through lack of funds' policy, so even if you're skint, you can come along. Should be a good night!
