Leeds Animal Day extravaganza!

On Sunday 7th October there will be a Leeds Animal Day celebration at The Common Place.
As part of this event former Animal Liberation Front activist Keith Mann will be selling his new book ‘From Dusk ‘til Dawn’, and talking about the story behind the book, longer than the book itself! For more information about the book and related campaigns:

Come along and find out what it is that we are celebrating…
Will it be domineering human relationships over other animals? What industry has been doing to habitats? How Capitalism has profoundly improved the lives of animals?
Or none of the above, perhaps we’ll be celebrating the opposition to the damaging, exploiting, profiteering dominant culture, which continues at the expense of every living being on this planet.
There’ll also be further stalls from local animal rights groups and sanctuaries, there’ll be a kids corner, hopefully with face painting, a raffle, and plenty of good vegan food with a delicious cake stall too. Music and other things happening…
It’ll be fun! Honest!

Basically the book is....
'An insider's view of the growth of the Animal Liberation Movement. From Dusk 'til Dawn offers the personal perspective of former ALF activist Keith Mann on the direct action wing of the Animal Liberation Movement, from its early history, through its rapid growth in the 1960's, to the present day. The book takes the reader on tour with the ALF as activists carry out raids, and uncovers the thinking and motivation of some of the people who work within ALF cells or alone - those who go out of their way and are ready to break the law of the land to help stop the suffering of animals.'
