Police Spy helicopter' used at festival

A remote control "spy helicopter" has been helping police patrol a major music festival.

Staffordshire Police have been using the CCTV drone for the first time at the V Festival site this weekend.

Officers said the remote controlled plane helped capture offenders at the festival site at Weston Park, on the border of Staffordshire and Shropshire.

By Sunday police had arrested 62 people in total at the festival and had cautioned more than 100.

Officers said 32 of those arrested had been found possessing drugs.

Police said they expected to use the technology at future big events.

Ch Insp Pete Owen said: "We are delighted to be trialling the drone.

"It will work in addition to the CCTV that we will monitor on site throughout the festival.

"Our message to criminals is that we will be watching you and you will be arrested if you are caught on camera."

Yes, this is the technology that will fight the wars of the future. On one side we'll have soldiers no longer risking their lives on the battlefield as combat is reduced, literally, to a computer game - and look how well we've trained our kids to play those. Meanwhile, the poor sods at the receiving end won't have a chance. More injustice, more imbalance of power, more resentment and desperation, and more suicide bombers probably.

The Welsh Assembly Government has invested huge sums so that this technology can be developed in West Wales at Aberporth. There's more about it here:  http://harriboy.blogspot.com/

You only have to see the LNG plant at Milford and the Associated pipelines to see how dumb the Welsh Assembly is.
Is this why we will not see a pipeline near Aberporth.
We are dispensable subjects and human guinea pigs in South Wales to make room for Westminster's Capitalism.
