On Monday 11-12 noon climate campaigners are to demand a stop to aviation expansion at Downing Street. A petition will be presented against Building of a Third Runway at Heathrow and banners held by representatives of faith communities, climate campers, UK and international citizens. All concerned with our planet and children's future are invited to join us - and call for government policy to act - not fly in the face of climate change.

Climate Campaigners are to demand Government Stop Runway Expansion. This will take place from 11-12 noon on Monday 20th August 2007 at Downing Street, London - as a climax and a celebration of this day of action on climate change.

There will be a presentation of a petition against the Building of a Third Runway at Heathrow.

There will also banners held by representatives of all faiths, as well as climate change campers and UK and international citizens.

All concerned with the future of our planet and our children are invited.

While Hurricane Dean is threatening to tear Jamaica apart as part of escalating climate chaos, the British Government is supporting BAA's proposals for a third runway at Heathrow. Airport expansion will massively increase the UK's climate changing emissions.

This is the chance to expose the contradictions of government's policy to address climate change.

No third runway at Heathrow!
