But there are no more fruit settlements

18.08.2007 20:57

Erm, the settlements that exported fruit were in Gaza. The Gaza settlements were finally removed, which means that the fruit isn't "settlement" food. At least not anymore. Who was responsible for fact-checking before organizing this?

there are huge fruit settlements along the Jordan Valley

19.08.2007 09:23

I suggest you check your own facts, as there are enormous fruit plantations in the Jordan Valley growing a wide variety of fruit: oranges, grapes, bananas, guavas, watermelons, mangos, persimmons, pomegranates, grapefruits and of course dates.

One of Carmel's biggest sellers are 'Jordan Plains' branded dates, which are grown exclusively on settlement land, by the time they reach the Hayes' warehouse they are labelled: "Produce of the Jordan Valley – Israel". At your local Tesco dates from the same source are more innocuously described as "Packed in the UK".

Carmel? Agrexco? Apartheid.

When the arrestees themselves are Israeli, you can take your racist smears and fuck off.

Carmel will receive our attention until they collapse.

Fair and balanced.
