rikki | 17.08.2007 14:54 | SOCPA | Repression | London

when brown seized power he promised a lifting of socpa conditions on the right to protest near parliament. today, in preparation for the visit of nelson mandela, his henchmen helped ken livingston's henchmen to crack down even more on brian haw's protest, forcing their support tents into an impossibly small area in another expensive police operation.

Details please

First of all, oiyoi is just a troll, so people ought to ignore him.

Second off, if they say one tent is all that's allowed, then give them the biggest possible tent, or at least just a large one with several rooms.

Was there any warning before this raid? Did they ask for the tents to be removed? If there are going to be up to 19 supporters then they have to stay somewhere.

Was everyone trying to get out of the fenced area or stay in? You said you'd write a detailed report soon, please make it as detailed as possible, for those of us with slow internet connections.
