George and Patrick of the "legendary" Veggies van.
James - "I used to take the piss out of these people but at the end of the day they are right eh? Floods and droughts everywhere, you'd have to be stupid not to realise something is very wrong and needs to be sorted out."
Des separating out the green wood from the cured wood. "Its very important not to burn green wood. It throws out loads of impurities and carbon into the air, creating a dark smoke that you do not want to be breathing in." On the Climate Camp, " It is such a great camp, and the way that such a large group of different people can organise themselves using consensus, I believe it's the beginning of a greater social movement."
George and Patrick from Veggies Catering. Veggies has been providing delicious vegan burgers and other baked goodies, all for donation only, to the activist community for the past 23 years.
Patrick - "Diet is one of the biggest parts of our lifestyle which you can change to modify your impact on the environment" On Climate Camp - "It's brilliant, so vibrant and creative. Drax was a build up to this."
Daisy, visiting from Heathrow Primary School which will be knocked down if the third runway goes ahead. "My school is really nice and quiet, all my friends are there and you can play all together out the front."
Anne and Romney. Anne - "We are some of the few wrinklies on site. We came because we are very involoved in the environmental movement and very concerned that our planet is hurtling to ruin. We came to listen to people and see what people are doing, and it's been an amazing experience, so inspirational."
