Clown Army Workshop a success !
A wonderful & joyous day was had despite atempts at sabotage by moaners.

The Clown Army workshop in Hebden Bridge on Sunday August 5th
was a joyous & wonderful success...................
(despite atempts at sabotage by pea brained moaners who tried to stop the event)

We spent a lovely day skill sharing, giving mutal activist support
and making plans for the future.

Thank You to everyone who came and was a part of
this and helped make this event happen and ignored
the nasty keyboard moaners..................

We will be running the full 2 day CIRCA training in Spring 2008.
Lovely, joyous people welcome.

I didnt know "ner ner ner ner i did good and im ace" was a particularly newsworthy statement.

The fact that you need to come on here and laud yourself makes it seem you werent entirely confident about what you were doing.

i am saying, as a person, with my own tastes and opinions - i hate the clowns, they make things worse, they make me embarassed, the mock the issues, the undermine decent work - i want them to fuck off.

Now can someone please stop deleting my abuse, how is the initial post more any more worthy than me telling them to fuck off?!

I have to agree with the last 2 messages.
I have no problem with people expressing themselves through clowning or at least attempting to, I have a problem with it being forced on other activists.
If you want to walk around an anti-war demo because a member of your family has just been killed in Iraq you might not appreciate 'Private Fluffy Ears' jumping up singing the Hokey Cokey in front of you. If clowning is done, as it should be. subtley and in the background, fine. It seems all to often, however, that it is ego driven, in your face, attention seeking.
Lets be aware of other peoples feelings and motives for standing up against capitalism and oppression. If people want to dress up and put on funny voices that's fine but not at the expense of people who wish to resist in less ostentatious ways.
I , personally find clowns pretty depressing and sinister however I guess clowning is meant to be intelligent and not meant to make you look like a complete w###r!
