Post-Protest Fig and Vine Planters comes to Saab Microwave (Sweden)

LHM | 05.08.2007 22:21 | Anti-militarism | South Coast

Leaving behind complaint and appeal to others fig and Vine Planters initated planting at a factory today (05-08-07) to continue its transformation.

Today 'the Vine and Fig Tree Planters Saab Microwave 2007' further conspired, trained in nonviolence and for breaks ate Fika and swam nude in the gorgeous Surte Lakes at Lovdetgardet (north of Gothenburg).

We were hosted by local people, and the place we met 'Rosa Huset' means 'Pink House' and has stood there serving the community for 25 years.

We found that in this area (nearest village) two fire bombs had gone off - gladly we were informed noone was hurt. So planting and transforming here like many places is pertinent and apt. The prophet Micah says (4v3,4) that "everyone will live beneath their own vine and fig tree in peace and unafraid" - so we plant now, we initiate ourselves and we dig, scrape and we water in. We take account of what is needed and we get it done as well as we can.

SEE OUR PHOTOS soon to be posted on the above website in the next few minutes - all being well - and yea please spare a thought between now and Thursday for how we might create and share our resources for the poor and wartorn because of the arms trade.

We plant to initiate change ourselves and maybe we also go equipped for disarmament with hammers too to weapons factories. It is important to have the correct tools isnt it, spades and trowels and hammers?

We plant and got mud in our nails to put these plants in the ground 15 metres from the factory walls, the police came and went and let us go they were friendly and let us get on with what we intended to do and tomorrow we do more. They may come and go and they may let us and they may not however tomorrow we go closer to the factory and we will plant more this time a fig tree.
