Skin2 Fur Shop Closes! 1 left to go....

Skin 2 in Leeds has been campaigned against heavily by anti-fur protesters over the past year, following the shop selling fox-trimmed coats.

Skin 2 in Leeds has been campaigned against heavily by anti-fur protesters over the past year, following the shop selling fox-trimmed coats. The owner has tried everything from telling the enquiry public he doesn't sell fur, to assaulting people campaigning at the shop. We have even been told he has been complaining to his best friend about the demonstrations!

It has now come to our attention that the store has now ceased trading, leaving only one place selling fur in Leeds! Please politely contact them and ask for the furs to be removed from sale. The owner has said for over a year that the furs would be removed.

what's special about fur?

why is it any different to kill an animal for fur than for leather or meat?

Who to choose today??? So much choice.

Obviously people campaign against all types of animal exploitation, or should we say domination over fellow animals. Essentially the fascism of animal exploitation is acceptable to most people.

Good luck with the final fur shop!

Fur?

"why is it any different to kill an animal for fur than for leather or meat?"

Who is saying that there is anything different? Certainly most animal rights/veggie people would say that there is no difference at all, morally. You are simply looking at the issue from your own perspective as, I presume, a meat eater.

Of course some meat eaters would disagree with fur saying that it merely for vanity, whereas meat is for food. As a vegetarian I would disagree with this as meat is not essential, but nevertheless it is the view of many.

Still, for any out there who still believe that fur is ok I would suggest they take a look at the Peta website and view their film of fur production in China, where the skins are ripped from the animals whilst still alive, just so that some ugly old hag can flaunt her wealth.

There is no difference between leather and fur, but it is more tactically wise to target the already wrecked fur industry and finish it off before targeting the leather & meat.

For example every high-street shop sells leather, but as you can see only one in a whole city sells fur.

The leather is also countered through education of going vegan - if people stopped eating animals there'd be no leather left.
