The Dork Has Been Cast for ''LiveMansion: The Movie''

Monday, July 30, 2007

SAN FRANCISCO & NEW YORK, Jul. 30, 2007 (Business Wire) -- HandHeld Entertainment(TM) (NASDAQ:ZVUE) and Ckrush Entertainment (OTCBB:CKRH) today announced Alex Haney has won the open online casting contest for the role of the 'Dork' character in the upcoming feature film 'LiveMansion: The Movie.'

Like many other hopeful actors, Haney submitted an audition video on HandHeld's Dorks.com(TM) Web site, where registered members of Dorks.com selected him as their top candidate for the 'Dork' character. Haney was also one of three finalists for the role of Envin in 'LiveMansion: The Movie.'

The online casting call contest and voting lasted six weeks, with Haney winning the Dork role at the end of a close race.

'I don't know if I should be embarrassed or excited that I was voted as the dorkiest character above all the other auditions,' Haney said. 'I've studied film and television production my whole life. Since I got my degree from Full Sail in Winter Park, Florida, I've had the chance to work professionally producing, writing, directing and acting, but this is certainly a unique opportunity. Playing a comedic role in a major motion picture is a dream come true for me. The democratic process is nothing short of exhilarating, and I'm proud to have been a part of this history-making endeavor.'

Haney began his entertainment career as an assistant director on a pilot for Showtime Networks. He went on to become a correspondent for recording industry star P. Diddy (Sean Combs) in 2004 and interviewed such celebrities as Bruce Willis and Yoko Ono about voter apathy for Diddy's 'Vote or Die' campaign. Haney then traveled the United States to create 'An American Dialogue,' a documentary about political ignorance among conservatives and liberals, and the young and old. Recently, Haney co-produced 'Multiple,' an independent feature film starring Josh Wolf Coleman (Hidalgo) and Jeff Kober (Hills Have Eyes II and Buffy the Vampire Slayer), in which he also acted in a supporting role. Haney is currently working on a project with superstar DJ Junior Vasquez in New York City.

'Alex's video audition of a dork at a casting call was priceless,' said Jeff Oscodar, president and CEO of HandHeld Entertainment. 'HandHeld is so pleased that the best character was chosen out of the millions of potential Dorks.com users. Alex was able to capture the essence of a true dork and is sure to bring humor and entertainment to 'LiveMansion: The Movie.''

Created by Ckrush as the first feature film produced by a social network, 'LiveMansion: The Movie' infuses the experience and celebrity of current Hollywood actors, producers and other talent with the power and passion of an online community of filmmakers, actors, directors and film fans. Celebrity judges including John Leguizamo and Michael Rapaport teamed with executive producer Spike Lee as part of the online casting process. As part of the film's launch, HandHeld and Ckrush joined forces to promote the film and cast the latest character.

'Going into the online 'Dork' casting contest we were confident that the loyal users of Dorks.com would come through for our character, and we are more than excited about our 'discovery' of Alex Haney,' said Jeremy Dallow, president of Ckrush. 'Teaming with HandHeld allowed us to provide the online voting community with the best actors from which to choose our 'Dork,' and they chose well. Alex brings the definition of dork to the table and comes with much experience and expertise in the industry. HandHeld helped discover the perfect dork and also provided 'LiveMansion' with multiple Web properties and platforms on which we can effectively promote the groundbreaking film.'
