IMC London joined the CWU battlebus as it toured London picketlines before delivering a very special letter to Post Office bosses.

Power to the posties.
Power to the posties.

The bus uis decked out in flags and banners. A sound system is playing classic tunes by the Clash, Specials, Sex Pistols, Jam, Undertones and various other artists from the days when Trade Unions had some power. It has to be said that striking posties have impeccable taste in music.

Various picketline are visited and leafletts are given out to the public who on the whole are very supportive. The most supportive in fact since the last fire strike in 2003. These days the word 'privatisation' is greeted by fear and loathing by most sections of the population. The general mood on the picket lines is more upbeat than two weeks ago. All worplaces are reporting the same level of strike action, in some cases even greater levels as non union members go off sick for the day. Managers are trying to deliver recorded mail but its just a token gesture for the benefit of the media.

Finally at the PO HQ 500 deviant posties gather to deliver a giant letter to the Post Office bosses. They are saying that they will escalate the action if Crozier (yes the berk who used to mismanage the FA) and his sidekick Leighton dont listen to their demands. This could well be the first major defeat for neoliberal reforms since Brown took power.

Go posties!!
