Sharrow Festival: sun sounds and smiles

Sharrow festival lucked out with the weather for the 10th year in a row, dry and at times beautiful sun, shining on a day squeezed between two days of downpours.
Sharrow festival maintained its fantastic run of luck with the weather and after a Friday of continual rain Saturday was dry and sunny. Despite the odd glitch whit the tables arriving late and the truck stage getting stuck in the mud the event went down smoothly with every one having fun and being royally entertained by a host of musical acts on two stages. There were stalls from all sorts of groups from Oxfam, community health projects, the council, stop the war coalition along with a fantastic selection of clothing and jewellery stalls and food of the best quality. Along with sporting activities, wrestling and goal scoring and a big Sure Start play area for children and graffiti in the 'HipHop zone' provided entertainment with a little something for everyone and a lot of fun for us all.
