I'm including a link here to an excellent interview called

William Rodriguez - "THE DAY THE TWIN TOWERS FELL."
 http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=william%20rodriguez

It includes edited transcripts of phone calls received from people who made calls from the towers before they came down and various calls made to the emergency services by people who were stuck inside.

It's a very harrowing, emotive and at times, sinister interview.

All this stuff about "life never being the same", the "world in disbelief" etc etc gets irritating. It was cliched within about 10 minutes of the 9th September 2001. Now these cliches just sound pathetic.

The rest of the interview is pretty in-depth though, granted.

BTW - the link failed for me in Firefox. I had to view the frame source (click left mouse button in the play window) and paste the link into your address bar to actually listen to the show for yourself.
