Women in Black continue monthly vigil in Cardiff

vg | 08.07.2007 22:43 | Anti-militarism | Iraq

Women in Black held their regular monthly vigil on the steps of the National Museum in Cardiff on Saturday. The vigil takes place on the first Saturday of every month, from 12 noon - 1pm.

Women in Black have been holding silent vigils in Cardiff since March 2003, in protest at the war in Iraq, and all wars.

"Our vigils are part of a quest to make the voice of women heard against war and injustice and find ways of protest which are powerful and peaceful."

Weekly WIB in Edinburgh

11.07.2007 19:15

My mum goes to a weekly WIB in Edinburgh. They meet at the east end of Princes Street at 1 pm every Saturday. They don't talk, they mourn. If you are female and have a black outfit then there are worse things to be doing at that time.
