Six Nottingham students have been arrested following blockades at the North and South entrances of Faslane nuclear base.

Three of the six were arrested on Friday morning and three earlier today, and were being held at Dunbarton police station. Today three people were arrested in a blockade at the South gate and eight at the North.

Due to a bank holiday in Scotland they would have been held until Monday morning, but due to the attempted suicide bombing at Glasgow airport all the arrestees were released at around 8pm this evening to make space in the cells.

The blockades are part of Faslane 365 , a year long blockade of Britain's Trident submarine base. The students group has been blockading since Thu 28th Jun and will continue until Tue 3rd.
