The Masih family from Pakistan were were hauled off to a detention centre last week after a squad of immigration officers in riot gear raided their home in Port Tennant ,Swansea.
The popular family, who are catholic, have lived peacefully in Swansea for over three years ,having fled religious persecution in Pakistan.
The arrest of Matthew 10, Mary 7 and Rose 5 together with their parents has caused consternation and anger among neighbours and in the local church St Illtyds where the family are regular worshippers.
The Swansea branch of the National Union of Teachers has protested about the treatment of the family and such has been the concern and scandal surrounding the detention that the family have been temporarily released and have returned to Swansea and an emotional reunion with neighbours, friends and church members.
