University of the Lies London a.k.a. University of the Arts London

Can it be true?

Is this University really going to expel Paulo Duarte for caring enough to discuss the Iraq war and the death of Jean Charles de Menezes in his homework?

Could there have possibly been any political interference in this decision by 10 Downing Street?

To Whom It May Concern:

As explained to myself by the Assistant Director of the Languages Department. I am being expelled from your University of the Arts and from my English classes for being too ‘political’. (?)

I was astonished to show up for classes and be told that my presence was no longer welcome. I was under the impression that I had a very good relationship with both my teacher and the class, on the whole. I have not received any verbal nor any written warnings with regards to poor behavior in the classroom since I commenced my English classes on March 12, 2007.

I was informed, after I had been called out from the computer room, that I spoke too much with regards to the Iraq war and the death of Jean Charles de Menezes in my classwork and this was the reason for my expulsion. I was also told to attend the following day to pick up a letter explaining the reasons for my expulsion as the Assistant Director needed time to look through the ‘rules’ of the University before penning this letter.

For ‘unknown’ reasons to myself, false allegations have been made against myself with regards to my behavior in the University. I seriously and reasonably question as to whether or not there has been any political interference in the making of this decision.

I find it quite a curiosity and/or a coincidence that only the night before, I was present at Belgravia Police station to lodge a complaint against Inspector Tucker who quoted “terrorism” as a reason for telling me to stop filming outside Parliament and attempted to deprive me of my personal property after I had already explained that I was a tourist from Brazil.

Inspector Tucker of the Parliament Police force is now the subject of a very
serious IPCC complaint due to the death threats he made to me in public.

Worrying trend, but "10 Downing St"...?

It is a damning indictment of any supposedly intellectual establishment to exclude anyone on the basis that they express their political opinions.

But to suggest that you were expelled because Tony Blair checks everyone's homework before he goes to bed each night I think erodes your credibility. It's just not realistic.

I also think it is disempowering for activists to blame every minor injustice on a central, all-knowing and all-powerful organisation. One reason capitalism is so destructive is that it causes the ideals of the powerful to be adopted and enacted by those at every level of society. People are unaware that they act against their own interests in maintaining the status quo.

It means that Downing St doesn't have to intervene every time someone disagrees with them. There are plenty of people sufficiently indoctrinated to do it for them.

CONVERSELY, it means that their network of oppression isn't as clever as it often seems. They are not all-powerful, and they are not invincible. If we organise and struggle, the bastards CAN BE BEATEN!

Maybe the system is better organised than you think...

If Paulo is here on a student visa and just so happens to have been threatened by Inspector Tucker at the gates of Parliament... oops... de Menezes investigation cover up ring any bells.

The thruth is yet to come out regarding that homicide committed by the state. A young man shot in the back of the head while under complete compliance to pain control techniques - on the floor of the carriage of the train - not running away as purported by the propaganda machine

... the very day after he makes a complaint to the police he is kicked out of an arts school for expressing his political opinions as a means to practising the language he is attending said institution of education for?

Co-incidence?

Co-incidence that two officers questioned Paulo as to his immigration status directly after he had videoed Inspector Tucker???

Next kicked out of school... do you think they are trying to get him out the country through the side door through yanking his student visa?

For myself this rings an altogether familiar bell of the judiciary working in tandem with the state police to arrest and jail political dissenters with the threat of jail for breach of bail on non-imprisonable SOCPA offences as per Barbara Tucker, Steve jago, myself and others who dare to stand up to this bastard government for the war crimes they have and are committing.

Just my opinion and maybe you disagree...

2 + 2 = 4, me thinks.

Paulo swam across the Thames and cried out for Peace at the back gates of Parliament from the stairs leading down to the Thames and was arrested for trespassing SOCPA 128 after he had been invited by plod to jump the back gates as they could not find the keys to open the locks - no charges laid.

Paulo also swam down the Thames and stood on the back stairs with a peace banner and was completely ignored by plod as he drew attention to the complete apathy of British Parliament towards the world's people's cry for peace.

I think the fact that he caught Tucker on film and was willing to make an official complaint precipitated his prompt removal from school.
