Jenin Jenin, which has not been aired on a single television station anywhere in the world, has resulted in a court case, as 5 unknown Israeli soldiers attempt to sue Bakri for the way that he portrayed the military operation.

In an interview with Amy Goodman from Democracy Now, he discusses why he made the film, and says that he would do it again.

The film which was initially banned by the Israeli censors, was cleared for screening in Israel by the Supreme Court. However, as Bakri tells Goodman, no-one went to see it. 2 films which set out to rubbish Bakri's work were screened on Israeli television.

The interview can be heard online at  http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=07/06/22/1458237, and is also available on IMC UK for your convenience.

Doing time

He's not looking at "doing time" for making the film. If he's looking at "time" (which I'm not sure about) it's because he libelled and slandered those Israeli soldiers who are suing him. He should have thought about that before making a slanderous film.

Bullshit

He didn't name any soldier - he recorded the stories of people who had been traumatised by the murderous, brutal and destructive operation run by your colonialist masters.

Had you listened to the recording, you would understand why he is looking at doing time.

Haven't you got your own fascist website to record your dribble on?

note that

whatever action is being conducted, is being conducted through a civil action, not a criminal one.

thus this is an attempt to both extort money and prevent the distribution of this film WITHOUT any facts being put to the test

what a joke

don't they have laws that prevent genocide denial?
