At 5pm there were 8 Peace Camp tents, including a Gazebo. While Brian's bunch had 11 tents and a fairly loud sound system for music and speeches.

No trouble from police so far, despite it being a naughty unauthorised demonstration.. A couple of cops walked around the inner boundary of the Square several times, through the demonstrators on the pavement, past the sound system, while showing little interest. A few police looked on curiously from across the road by the Houses of Parliament and that was about it.

Not a bad start to the first day. At the time of writing Brian's pitch can be seen on the BBC/TfL jamcam and if this is not switched off or turned away it could show the first signs of any trouble so please monitor tonight and report anything untoward ASAP. Thanks.
