Rare Orchid

About 18 months ago a story was published on this site of a rare ladys slipper orchid being destroyed by a farmer.Since then i have looked into this.I was already aware of the orchid prior to this happening and this is what happend. In 1991 a kinowsley solicitor in partnership with the manager of Liverpool football, one club one Roy Evans and a man called Henry Williams bought the said land the orchid grew on.This was for a proposed gas extraction plant.Due to local oposition by land owners and personal animosity to the solicitor, one Kevin Dooley, from local towns people. It was abandoned. Some years went by with no one showing any interest at all in the said land.
Not untill a couple of years after Kevin Dooley died. The land lay fallow for 13 years.Except for one influence.A local paintball zone.In 2006 a local farmer called James Hayes rented the land from Dooleys wife.At the same time a large number of off roaders had allready got used to the idea it was their personal space.I myself counted 12 landrovers one night driving over it.When i pointed out to them the owner of the paintball would not be happy they said "he's our mate.he lets us."Time for action.I contacted Lord Derbys estate to get the info on who owned what.It led me to James Hayes.I called him and told him what i just wrote. He told me he would do something to stop it,i also told him about the ladys slipper. Two days later there were 12 foot deeps ditches surrounding the paintballzone. So i went to look at what it was all about, the orchid. No slipper but landrover tracks. The paintballzone and his cronies were responsible for this loss not James Hayes.
